Our commitment

Rick's Seattle wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including guests who use assistive technology such as screen readers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We're working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our ongoing standard.

What we've built in

• Descriptive alt text on the photos and images across the site
• Visible keyboard focus states on links, buttons, and form fields
• A color system checked for contrast against our cream and dark backgrounds
• Support for reduced-motion browser settings, which pauses background video and animated transitions for guests who prefer less motion
• Clearly labeled forms with real field labels, not just placeholder text

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. As we add new pages and features, we review them against these same standards and correct issues as we find them.
